Agfa ePHOTO 1680 Instructions
for OneShot360
Recommended Camera Settings for OneShot360
- Put Your Agfa1680 in REC mode when turning the camera
on.
- Set the Image Quality to 1680 by pressing the MENU dial,
then press the dial again to select the quality. Rotate
the dial to find the quality setting marked 1680. Press
the dial again to complete the selection.
- Use the Zoom, located next to the color LCD screen, to exactly fill the digital camera screen with the circular image. If you zoom in too much, you will lose part of the field of view. If you zoom in too little, you will not get maximum resolution. Note also that the OneShot image may not be exactly centered in the LCD screen this is normal.
- Make sure the flash is disabled by selecting the flash
off icon in the menu next to the quality setting.
- Now scroll to the menu on the far right which gives
access to the timer, focus and exposure controls.
- Select "Focus" and set the focus to "2m".
- Select "Exposure" and then "Aperture
val.". Choose "Small".
- If you do not want to be in the image, select "Self
Timer" and choose "10 Sec." so that you
have time to exit the area after pressing the shutter
release button.
Set the white balance. Automatic setting is usually adequate.
Recommended Camera Settings for OneShot360Plus
When taking 360x360 images, follow all of the above instructions,
and the additional instructions below. Because the Oneshot360Plus
uses 4 images, it is best to make sure that all 4 images
have the same exposure. This will ensure the end result
will have a continuous tone and density throughout the image.
The best way to do this with the Agfa 1680 is to:
- Try to make the scene as evenly balanced with the same
type of light as possible. For example, close window shades
to avoid harsh uneven lighting, and turn on interior lights
to try to balance the brightness.
- You can also try setting the white balance Manually.
This will keep the camera from shifting the balance between
shots. To do this, go to the menu at the far right and
scroll down to WHITE POINT. Scroll up to SET WHITE BALANCE
and press the dial to select it. The menu then instructs
you to aim the camera at a white piece of paper and press
the menu button to take a measurement. Select Yes to save
the new white point.
- In the same menu, select "Self Timer" and
choose "10 Sec." so you will have time to exit
the area after pressing the shutter release button. Remember
to set this before each of the 4 shots in your 360x360
image.
- Now you are ready to capture a 360x360 set of images.
- Before beginning the next 360x360 set of images, you
should return to the steps above and reset the white point
for each scene.
